Ave Maria School of Law

Ave Maria School of Law

Ave Maria School of Law was founded in 1999 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, through the vision and generosity of Thomas S. Monaghan, the former owner of Domino’s Pizza. The school began its mission to provide a Catholic legal education grounded in the recognition of objective moral truths and the dignity of every human being. In 2005, Ave Maria School of Law received full accreditation from the American Bar Association, solidifying its status as a reputable institution within legal education.

Following a comprehensive study, Ave Maria School of Law relocated to Naples, Florida, in 2009. This move provided a new setting conducive to its mission, offering a vibrant community and a supportive environment for students dedicated to integrating their legal studies with Catholic moral and social teachings. Today, Ave Maria School of Law continues to uphold its commitment to preparing students for ethical and impactful legal practice, guided by its distinctive Catholic intellectual tradition.
